Employers
According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) it is estimated that 76 percent of people with drug and alcohol problems are employed. With an emphasis on employee health, the workplace provides a prime opportunity to address mental health and addiction challenges among workers. Relying on current programs may not be effective and often go unutilized. We are focused on engagement and adherence of the workforce to better address mental health and addiction support needs of organizations with the ability to provide confidentiality and on demand services.

Labor Unions/Trusts
While unions offer a unique degree of support and fellowship between management and their members, the struggle with workplace stress that can lead to anxiety, depression, mental illness and substance abuse is still unacceptably high. By some estimates, more than 120,000 deaths are attributable to excess stress in the workplace. Unfortunately, along with this staggering number remains that the vast majority of those with mental illness or substance abuse issues never seek treatment. This may be due to the stigma associated with the disease of addiction and mental health problems. We can help you develop a program that is confidential and allows your members to have 24/7 access to services.
Our program is fully remote and provides access to resources for the symptoms of alcohol abuse, drug abuse, and mental illness.

Colleges and Universities
Accelerating rates of mental illness and substance use disorder in college campuses is a growing concern for parents, administrators, and communities. We provide campuses with the tools needed to truly help their student population backed by decades of evidence and expertise. Whether we are training counselors or taking referrals to our coaches, Sober Grid partners with academic leaders to create campus plans bespoke to an institution’s unique needs.

Why Choose Sober Grid

Reduce Accidents
Employers who have Employee Assistance Programs in place have improvements in morale and productivity and decreases in absenteeism, accidents, downtime, turnover, and theft.

Decrease Hospitalizations
Without proper support after treatment, relapse rates are between 40-60%. By providing support after this traumatic event which can oftentimes cause an individual to be more contemplative about his or her substance use disorder and the seeking of treatment, we can create seamless transitions in care.

Improve Healthcare and Medicaid Costs
According to the National Council for Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, research has demonstrated that alcohol and drug treatment pays for itself in reduced healthcare costs. And the Surgeon General’s Report on Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco reports that every dollar spent on substance use disorder treatment saves $4 in health care costs and $7 in criminal justice costs.

Improved Options
Sober Grid provides multiple pathways to recovery. Whether members are using Sober Grid as a stand-alone treatment or using it to supplement another program - they will be given what they need when they need it without prerequisites. With a certified recovery coach, members will never be alone in their recovery again.

Improve Outcomes
The most critical time during addiction recovery is 30-90 days after detoxification. Individuals who receive peer coaching during this time are more likely to stay sober. Our members have access to support 24/7/365 during their recovery.

Reduce Crime
According to the National Council for Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, approximately 60% of individuals arrested test positive for an illegal substance at the time of their arrest. The Department of Justice states that 37% of all inmates say they had alcohol in their system at the time of their arrest.
